I've just fitted a new worcester 24i Junior in a small flat (only 5 radiators). The radiators are on 8mm microbore but don't know if they are individually connected to the flow and return or via a manifold. The boiler is apparently working fine - pressure is stable, hot water fine. In C/H mode the boiler fires but after about 1-2 mins cuts out. Seems that the water isn't circulating properly and the boiler thermostat is then cutting out. I've tried shutting the flow and return connections and using the filling loop to flush the system via various radiators (flow and return side). Don't seem to be any obvious blockages. Would very much appreciate any other ideas that people had - many thanks Dave 😀

Hi. Using the method you describe, should pull any air / obstruction through. Did you turn off every wheel head and lockshield. And then purge through 1 at a time? Good Luck

Yes tried that although must admit wasn't that systematic about it (was getting late and was hungry LOL 🙁 Would it make any difference to purge the other way too - via the return rather than the flow - would mean putting in a fitting in the return but shouldn't be too onerous. Cheers

David

Hi. Turn rads off go to the one with longest run. Turn off both ends, unscrew plug in top of rad add DOC and hose into bucket. Turn on one end and purge, then turn valve off. Recharge and repeat with other end. Good Luck
