Hello,

My boiler's recently started playing up and I need some advice if possible.

Basically, the flame failure light comes on on a regular basis denying us of heat and hot water.

It seems to come on once the rooms hit the desired temperature, then when the temperature drops it doesn't have enough ooomph to fire up again?
Also, when you want a shower you can guarantee the flame failure light will be on. To get hot water we have to leave the shower running, run down stairs, turn the boiler off and on again and then it fires up straight away? We have to perform the same trick when using the kitchen taps too.

I looked on here earlier for advice and can see that flame failure on this make and model is quite common and it's usually the APS. I got a friend (a recently qualified plumber) to fit a new one - No joy.
I got him to ring up Potterton to make sure all the settings are correct - No joy.
I had a look at the connections on the circuit board and all seemed fine but Im no expert so could possibly be that?

If anyone's got any other suggestions I'd really appreciate it?

Look forward to hearing from you
