Can anyone advise me? I'm the third engineer on this boiler and I refuse to let it win!
The problem is when it was serviced, apparently the CO readings were off the scale, servicing engineer turned it off as he didn't do repairs!!
2nd engineer comes along and changes the fan, gas valve and plate to plate (??!!!?)
Readings are so high still and he's not coming back!
I've changed the gas valve again (Potterton advice) stripped and checked the vertical flue - all intact, burner and heat exchanger are immaculate, burner gaskets and insulation are in good condition, flue, heating and DHW sensors checked and ok, yet I'm getting flame lift and a diabolical flame picture.
when you enter commissioning (SF) mode I can't get the burner to stay lit with anything less than 50% fan speed
PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME... :banghead:

If it is the SIT gas valve on this boiler then I have had occasions when I have changed three on the same boiler before I got a good one.
The alleged adjustment procedure only works on a good valve.

Sadly I've got one to change tomorrow 🙁
I hope it's a goodun.
