Potterton Performa 24 High Pressure

Hi all, brand new to forum, was after some advice.
I have the potterton performa 24 combi boiler, was working fine till 1 day ago, when central heating was put on and there was quite a loud banging from the pipes, water coming out of boiler and the pressure virtually goes off the scale?
Any ideas what is the cause of this?

Was there any water coming from the PRV - the 15mm copper pipe that terminates outside your house. what temp was the water? hot/cold?

water was cold, not sure about outside was coming from inside the boiler, turned all water off after that

could be your filling loop is passing - hard to say without seeing it though

pump jammed/ no circulation. boiler is 'kettling'
