Potterton performa 24he eco

A bit of help please. i have just come back from trying to sort out this boiler but have been left baffled and before i call technical tomorrow i thought i would pick your brains.
The fault is on both modes, you turn the boiler on and it starts sequence but stops short of ignition, but if you leave it flashing it seems to reset itself and then fires up but then after no certain amount of time it fails again and just repeats this again & again & again.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

sorry
it was simply the air pressure switch. i presume the diaphragm must have weakened or the contact inside was damaged so sometimes it was working and sometimes it wasnt.
