F

fix

Hi I've recently bought a house which was a repossession so the water was drained from central heating system and turned off at the stop tap, the boilers been unused and drained for 6 months.

I've re filled the boiler and tried to use it however it's flashing at the 60 degree/triange symbol which is a pump or water pressure fault, the pressures where it should be 1.5bar so the next thought is a pump fault, but when the boilers turned on you can definitely hear water moving around which suggests the pump is doing something.

I was wondering if anyone can help with what may be wrong?

Thanks

you really need to get a gas safe engineer to check that the boiler is safe to operate to ensure your and your familes lives are not put in danger.

also did you put inhibitor in the system when you refilled it?

As above, with no prior knowledge of this boilers performance or history it would be definitely worthwhile paying a few quid to get a good service and identify any potential isuues or dangers.
