Hi All

BG have capped off a potterton power max HE 115 due to leak from flue collector behind heat ex changer. Below is the pic of what it looks like. Has any one come across this before.
Was there yesterday, the custard of instead of capping the meter had cut the pipe and capped off within the boiler.

Read the report and it says leak behind the HEX. It seems one has to take everything blooming bit out to get to the condensate.

Any help or advise on how to go about would be much appreciated and if any one knows what part no. etc would be nice.

Spoke to the manufacturer today, it seems there is a fault on these boilers and they are upgrading this model. I have passed on the address and they will send an engineer to fix this and yes all for free.

well for the time ones gonna spend in sorting out its not worth the money. Just to sort it out what I have found out you will have to completely strip the boiler. I can probably sort out two or 3 for that time.

Ye, waste of time spending any great deal of time on these boilers. They're a pain to work on and I'm fairly sure Baxi do a fixed price on them anyway. I'd be glad to get out of there too tbh.
