Worried I'm doing something wrong. Carried out only my 4th solo Powerflush today and everyone I've done on my own have been pretty much clear water from the off. Only thing I'm thinking is all have been sealed systems?

as when assisting other people I've seen some terrible systems

some people drain their system a lot or may have replaced a rad before doing the boiler this combined with very little air in pressurised systems prevents the dirt from appearing. The problem is that smaller heat exchangers mean you have to get as much as possible out otherwise they will block. I did one today, water was clear until i went to individual rads and gave them a roll with rad roller and whacked them with mallet!! I asked customer why he needed it and he said "british gas told me it should be done every couple years"!!

No I find magnet is a visual aid only really and speeds up flushing the dirty water out!! no real efficiency benefits apart from possibly preventing sludge going into boiler. I regret buying mine!!
