....... to flush an 8 rad system , only looking for ballpark ideas of quantity as i am on a water meter 😱

One metric tonne of mains water suppied to a domestic building at average cost is about £1.30. I cannot see what you are worried about
so you get thro 3000 litres which I doubt - less than a fiver - i'd be more worried about how much the chemicals cost and how well
the contractor will carry out the job. Water is cheap in this country.

It is like saying how long is a piece of string, It depends on the equipment used, the condition of the system and of course how thorough its done.

same question as above 🙂

When the system is flushed properly samples of water should be taken and tested for TDS (total disolved solids) and it should be within 10% of the tap water when complete

check he flushes it with a powerflusher is a start as most put chemical treatment in wait a hour then drain, cowboys way but there you go. very rare you get a proper flush unless your paying top dollar.

if customer doesnt request a flushi dont price for one and do the minimum flush requirement - cleaner in 2 weeks before - drain down day of installations and flush rads out with hose.

I suggest powerflush but most customers think your ripping them off to be honest.
