I'm hoping I can get some help. I need to replace the spindle for my shower. Oddly, the spindle looks like on for a tap, although it's longer than normal. About 3 inches. The company who supplied the shower and parts has now gone bust and I have no idea where to get one. Can anybody help? I have attached a pic. I have also marked the spindle so you can see where can seethe standard size for a tap. Except this is for a shower not a tap. Thanks.

It's a quarter turn tap with a ceramic disc cartridge.

Take the tap to a Plumbing supplier and they may have one that suits.
Some of them are a real pain in the backside to find.
Hopefully for you, it will be a relatively common type of spindle.

Take the head that turns the spindle with you, as it needs to be the correct spindle width & splines amount. You could try it on a new spindle if you are lucky to find one. At least if you find a shorter spindle you will then know what mm & spline amount the spindle should be.
