Good evening,
I am renting my room at the top of a 3 storey house and it has an en-suite. My landlord keeps getting their mate to come fix my shower but they don't seem to know what they're doing. If I could get some advice to answer my landlord back with to get them to do something that would be greatly appreciated!
My shower worked fine except it was a struggle for me to turn it off, so my landlord's mate installed a brand new shower. The water comes from a tank in the loft. Somehow it first leaked everywhere in my room and down to the landing beneath, which they fixed. Now it loses pressure after every shower, fading to nothing.
My landlord says i have to take the shower head off, lay the hose on the floor of the shower, and turn it on until it stops making spurting/gurgling noises.
This works for one shower, but I don't want to do this everyday until I decide I want to move out! Air is getting in somehow, could anyone give me some ideas of how it could be fixed? It worked fine before so I can't see why it works so badly now. Could it be that the new hose is too long and so there's not enough pressure? Or something to do with the pump? Or could they have left a tap/valve open somewhere whilst installing the shower?
