Can anyone settle an argument between me and a friend.
I say that you don't need pipe inserts when using push fit fittings my friend dissagrees.

think some new ones dont but yes some have inserts so you can have a drink together and say you are both right

Who's pipe & fittings is that then? I know on the crimp on fittings some of them don't but thats not push fit.

You do come across loads of fitted kitchens with push fit fittings and no inserts but thats because carpenters can't plumb!😱

Then you need inserts, superseal on potable water but you can get away with the smooth ones (no O rings) on heating
