hi everyone i need to tee into some hep2o plastic to run 2 cold feeds and a hot feed off the pipes in the basement and then out of the remaining connection run some copper through the floor to the taps and toilet.

What i want to know is can i tee into hep2o using jg speedfit?

Are pushfit fittings pretty much universal and inter usuable with other brands as the place i can get to does not have hep2o fittings.

and are the pipe inserts all pretty much the same size regardless of make

Its 15mm i, teeing into

Also will this item on toolstation item number 20255 its a tct core drill 110mm drill through concrete ok as it says it will do but not sure as does not say diamond tipped and my local tool hire wants 30 quid for the day to hire there drill and core bits.

Many thanks

you have to use the same make for inserts as for fittings i.e. jg fitting and insert etc. should be alright to fit jg onto hep but i stand to be corrected if i am wrong

Use the correct manufacturers insert for the fitting you're using.

Yes you can cross use most types, though if there is a leak/burst joint, you will forfit the manufacturers guaruntee.

I'll take a look at your core drill in a mo!

Yeah they dont reccomend it but they would say that to cover thier backs, Ive had to mix and match over the years and never had a problem.

Beat me to it Steve!

That is a cheap and nasty core cutter, but for one job it'll prob get you out of trouble.

I tried to core drill a 5" hole into a concrete slurry(concreate and small pebble mix as per standard) drive way to sink in a condensate soak away, it was diamond tipped, it got about 1" into the concrete then broke off some teeth.
