Pushfit fitting/pipe ok to rub against one another?

Hi

I've been swapping rads in my house and during one rad swap I used the original notches on the joist to run the new flow and return pipes. In one notch both the flow and return touch and might get pressed against each other when the chipboard goes back down.

Should I open up the notch or reroute the return (left valve pipe)? Or is it ok they touch together?

I've attached photos to illustrate, last photo is a general picture of the whole setup

i would open the notch just a little to let it sit down as its above joist and you will put pressure on it when refitting floor.

Leaving sideways pressure on a pushfit elbow can cause it to leak.
Well it did on one of mine! 🤫

I decided to reroute the return by drilling out the joist (19mm) and passing through then back up.

I think I'm happy now with things
