Last night I went to a selection test at the new SkillXchange College in Castleford, West Yorkshire. Its for a part time evening course which consists of 2 nights per week. Total of 6 hours a week. Runs for 2 years. £1300 per year

But after reading up on it I'm beginning to think they mis-sell it a bit.

The course is a C&G Level 2 in plumbing studies. Where I can go onto level 3 once level 2 is complete.

Ive read up on this forum, and am I right in thinking that this wont actually get me straight into the plumbing trade? As I need the NVQ qual?

I was looking at doing one day a week work experience with an established plumber, on my day off from my current full time job. But still...this isnt enough is it?

Can anyone shed any light and assure me on what I think

Thanks

yup your correct, they will only probably be offering the Level 2 6129 Technical Certificate and folderwork. You would then need a placement to get the on job evidence side that allows you to do your 6089 certificate that then gains you the whole NVQ Level 2 qualification.
