Hi all.

Need a radiator for part of central heating system install, that will go in the bathroom. however, the customer would quite like a heated towel rail. the problem is this. the room loses approx 5500 btu's (1.6kw) according to the heat loss calcs. the most i can seem to find is a towel rad that puts out about 3500 btu's, but is astronomical in price.

any suggestions or ideas gratefully received.

Dave.

Thats the trouble, custards just want what looks good, not thinking of heat requirements and in the summer they tend to forget how cold it gets, then they go and cover rail with bid thick fluffy towels to cut down the output even more 🙁

Strip them off and stand them in the yard and hose them down with the outside tap and explain that is how cold they will be in winter getting out of the shower without proper heating, often they do not listen anyway but you get a lot of pleasure doing it !!😛
Try to convince them to install a small double radiator as well,or a combined radiator towel rail or maybe a air blower unit heater through mini heat exchanger from heating,or is underfloor heating a possibility
