Can I get a few opinions on placing a radiator below a window in a bathroom, worried about heat loss etc and the fact its on an outside wall where as at present an internal wall but taking up space, below the wndow would be a much better use of space, tiny bathroom

Thanks

Sam

in the old black & white days we were always told to put rads under windows this was to heat up the horrible draughts that came in, in these days of double glazing and cavity insulation it is less important, and now i always put the rad where it is best placed whether internal or external walls

rads should be placed as close to possible to the area of greatest heat loss, in a bathroom this is the window. Heat loss does not become less if you move rad away from window, you just cause the window area to become a cold spot.
