Radiators hot upstairs and cold downstairs.

I know this has been asked before but in different curcumstances

This is a sealed system (pressurised) sytem boiler Glowworm Ultracom about 5 years old. The filling loop failed and it over pressurised and blew off about 3 bar. That fixed the doorstairs rads are stone cold. Upstairs are OK and heat up with 2 mins. The boiler is located downstairs.

I've drained it down serveral times and added F3 cleaner without any joy.

Before I get the expense of a powerflusher can anyone suggest what it make be causing this ?

tried turning off upstairs using TRVs. Still cold down. As I've drained and refilled several times the water is clear as a mountain stream. As the upstairs get hot within a minute can this be a pump problem in the boiler ??

Turn lock shield off as well and force the water down stairs.

You might have an air-lock.

Is this your own system or a customer?

Is there a zone valve for up and down?

With the upstairs turned off does the boiler cycle on and off quicker than it does with all rads on?

Its mine. No zone valves. The boiler does cycle on/off quickly after reaching 82. I will try the locksheilds as well. How can I free a air lock?. Bleed all rads upstairs

Turn the rad above the drop off, with pump running occasionally put the speed selector switch between settings to stop the pump, flick it on and off several times

Not sure if that can be done with a pump inside the boiler. Can you explain the term tuen the rad and drop off. Sorry but I'm not an plumber

Its a sealed system, as far as I know there is no AAV's

last one left the filling loop open. Charged me £50, I don't trust them
