When the heating comes on/goes off, I have an awful noise coming through the pipes to the radiator predominately in the bedroom as if someone is tapping on them Any adeas as to how to stop this noise??😕

Check the trv is reversblie! If not and it is fitted on the return it will lift and shut making a fast tapping noise!

on the end of the rad.

Hi. Expansion and contraction are likely causes. As has been suggested check the pipes running to the rad they may be tight against joists or the hole up through the floor may be stopping any natural movement. Good Luck

when getting hot most pipes make a loud noise due to expansion, has it always happened or just started? new TRV's?

ill second that tight fitting laminates are often the cause of this or pipe work to tight in the joists
