recessed meter box

Anyone got any good ideas how to seal the spigot hole on this recessed meter box ?
It's built into a brick single skin garage wall

I use a non setting putty ? name escapes me at the moment though

for that i would use silicone! perhaps backed out with some alloy sheet (coke can)🙂

fjc non setting compound should be fine.

FJC is the stuff, aka flue jointing compound.
