In April last year, Warmflow asked me to carry out some warranty work on a boiler I'd installed. "Don't worry about the money!"
Yeah, right.
"It's your boiler, shouldn't you do the warranty work?"
"No. You do it."
I do the work.
They don't pay.
"You charge too much." (Three call outs and posting an oil pump to them for £90 was too much?)
I took them to court and won, last September. They said "We're in Northern Ireland, you're in England, so we don't have to pay you." At least half a dozen letters later and in March, the Mediation Service phoned me to mediate. At first I said yes, then I refused and said I'd see them in court.
Their solicitor wrote a stinging letter to the judge. I went to court and saw the judge. He said he had no issues with my invoice.
Me, no solicitor, against this not too small company with attached legal advice ... and the judgement was awarded in my favour!!
And now I've been paid complete with penalty!!!
