Hi guys , I need to board over this pipework, will I be able to cut the loop and pressure valve out and cap it off at either end.
The boiler has the pressure built in and this just mirrors the boiler. I gather it's serving no purpose as the filling loop is on the boiler ?
Am I right in thinking just to cap either end off as the iso valve is already in the off position as it is so it's serving no purpose?
Many thanks

If you’re certain it serves no purpose, then cap the heating side with a stop end. The cold must be capped so it doesn’t stagnate, possibly causing legionella, so needs to be done back to the tee it comes from and either removing the tee (best practice) or a stop end can be used no more than twice the pipe diameter, so if the pipe is 15mm the maximum stub of pipe can be 30mm.

Can you top up the system from the boiler may have a guage built in but might not be able to increase the pressure from it

Hi guys thanks for the replies , yes when I turn the filling loop on boiler the gauge tops up pressure, and this you seen in the image basically just mirrors what the gauge on the boiler says l, so if I put the gauge on the boiler to say 2 bar, this pressure valve I have attached in the image also goes upto 2 bar. I just don't want to remove if it is serving a purpose but I think it should be okay too with a gauge been on boiler ?
