Removing radiator

I am removing a radiator from my system as we have too many in our lounge.

I know it is simple job, but my question is..should I just blank off the ends or connect them up and allow a flow through.

My only concern is that by blanking off the ends, it will allow for air to be trapped in the system.

Or by joining the flow and return, will this cause problems?

I have asked several plumbers to do the job, but so far we have waited over 5 weeks for one and now he says it will be at least another month. All other plumbers say that this is such a small job, they cannot fit it in due to heavy work loads.

Most professional way would be to cut back below the floor and cap individually. Next preferred is to remove the valves and cap off above the floor. Easiest way is to shut off the valves, remove the radiator and blank the outlets of the valves. don't join the pipes together.

I had already removed the floor boards in case cutting back was the answer.

I just had it in my head for some reason that if I connected the flow and return, it would prevent any air blockages. I then thought that that may screw up the hot water flow so cutting back it is.

In my original days of plumbing, it was all mild steel pipes and gravity fed. LOL
