Replace back boiler with electric

Hi, would it be feasible to replace a baxi bermuda back boiler with an electric boiler, situated on the side of the chimney breast, utilising, mostly the existing pipework, cylinder etc.

Pipework is probably 28mm which might be a struggle and very expensive to run. Don't you have an immersion in the cylinder?
