I'm fitting a bathroom basin and the water pressure is a bit fierce, I'd like to reduce the flow at the mixer tap. It's plumbed using JG Speedfit. Can I just use a stopcock or stop valve or service valve to do this job?

No as this will increase the pressure you can get online valves with flow restrictors cp961 and then choose your insert normally 6lpm for a basin is fine
