Yes, cursed Saniflo.
hello! I was looking for some advice, please.
We've just moved into a house that has two of these things. One is in the ensuite - we are pretty sure it ser es the toilet, shower and two hand basins in there. Maybe more, maybe less - the old owner wasn't too helpful and as we've recently discovered, DIY was not his forte.
After a discussion with the family about the problems that can be encountered with these systems, we came up with a few rules (just loquids, no paper), but have ended up not using it at all, except the shower.
in the last couple of days it has been acting up, with the toilet filling up with dirty, smelly water and often leaking onto the floor.
Now we've never had one of these systems before but we were wondering how to move forward. Is it okay to just not use the toilet? What is causing the bowl to fill up if we arent using it (so no blockage)? Is there anything else we should keep in mind? (Other than ripping the damn thing out, but that's not financially viable at this moment in time).
Short version: new house saniflo toilet fills up with dirty water even when we don't use it
Any insight anyone could give would be greatly appreciated!
