Hi,

Any advice appreciated on connecting a 22mm copper waste to an existing cast stack.

I want to run a 22mm copper waste from a saniflo externally approximately 4-6m to connect with an existing cast soil stack at the back of the house. Is there any reason why this would not be possible and what would the best way be to join into the stack?

Many thanks

employ a plumber who knows what they are doing, why run a sani flo waste in copper?

Because it will be running around the outside of the building I want it to be as small and as unobtrusive as possible.

right mate dont worry theres no problems running in copper not sure if saniflo state any icrease in copper size over that distance but they say 22mm copper is fine and your best bet is to renew the stack putting a cast iron to copper socket at the base .

you can buy a brass strap on boss from somewhere like drainage centre , which leaves you with , i think a 2" female bsp thread, you can then reduce down to what ever size you need after that , but would recommend using a much bigger size pipe as people tend to put much to much tissue down the loo not knowing the limitations of these devices , 1 1/4" waste pipe is more reliable , using swept bends instead of 90 degree elbows , last thing you need is trying to sort out any repeating blockages in the future .

Dude its better you can get this work done by a plumber, bcoz I don't want you to do this if you are not used to it. Hope this makes sense.

its not good to run this pipe outside as you could end up with freezing problems
