Need to replace on of these and as they are no longer available is their a wiring combination to make a modern 2 port valve work on this system? Any advice most welcome

It depends how it is wired atm. You may need to alter things a bit.
What colour wires?
If it is blue (or black), yellow, white (or blue), orange and pink
the blue (or black) is the neutral
the yellow is motor open (same as brown on a honeywell)
the white (or blue) is motor closed (you don't need it)
the orange and pink are the auxilliary switch (same as orange and grey)

Better know as a two port spring return zone valve, put power on to it 240 VAC to open it, take the power off to close it via the spring, it does have axillary end switch so it is only 5 wires including earth, type in port port zone valve on WWW made by Honeywell, Satchwell and a few others. I think this is what you need, I thought this was a standard used valve now or am I up the wrong tree???

You're barking up the wrong tree. The satchwell valve in the OP does not spring return it requires a live feed to shut it as well as to open it.

Mike,

Thought it was a bit questionable, what was the valve ref number, was this what they called the minivalve with a window in the top??? Rotary shoe seating

If you need the valve housing as well it works out quite expensive, so might be worthwhile adapting the wiring and using a spring return valve.

As Blod says it doesn't matter what drives the valve closed, power on to open power off spring closes valve

im pretty sure you can still get them try a parts center rather than a plumbers merchant if the valve is stiff to turn with the head removed you realy need the body as well or the new head will burn out in no time
