Just Google advertising scams, you'll find the *******s in there somewhere.

I forget their main company name now, but I believe it's masterminded by a Manc but usually run from offices in Liverpool.

They specialise in mugging businesses into buying ads in cheap shoddy publications which have little coverage, and God help you if you foolishly give them your credit cars details.........
you'll end up with multiple invoices from other "publications"

I Got this today.......Final reminder !!!...what to do !!!!

Got suckered with something similar when I started out on my own in about 2003. Got a phone call saying for a very reasonable sum (bout £80), I would be the only plumber on a wall planner going on every hospital notice board in Sheffield. Thought I'd give it a go and obviously, nowt came of it. Lesson learnt. Year after, got another phone call saying I'd be receiving an invoice for this years wall planner as I'd entered into a verbal contract! I told the scouse tw@ to send me a copy of the verbal contract and my cheque would be winging its way across the mersey quicker than he could say "Where's me giro?"

do you think we could RIDDOR these people under the 'desease' classification!? lol

If you are owed money, get yourself on the creditors list by contacting their Liquidators.

Dear Sir/Madam,I note from your forum that some of your members have had dealings with the above company for access to work that did not materialise. Can I ask you to approach the following members to ask if they would contact me asap to provide details of their dealings with NUS. I have to stress that I cannot give guarantees that their assistance will result in successful action against the people behind NUS but their help would assist ouir investigations.
Could you also advise them that NUS is in the process of liquidation. The liquidators are MLM Solutions, 23 Nelson Mandela Place, Glasgow G2 1QY. If they contact themyour members can at least lodge a claim as creditors and may, just may, receive some of the money they paid back. Their telephone number is 0141 228 1327.

National Utility Solutions (also known as Group 3 Energy) are in the process of Liquidation.

Watch out because they changed their company name, and there is a chance they will just set up again.

Spread the word homies

I got into a slanging match with one of these scouse scumbags on the phone last month, I was already in a fould mood and ready for an arugument so I took it out on this guy.

The langauge I used was appauling to say the least, I called him all the F and C words under the sun before he hung up.

With regards to NUS, GROUP3 ENERGY,ETC, These people have been scamming for some time. I reported them to Trading Standards Two Years ago, providing nsmes addresses, telephone numbers, a number of attached organisations, their adv erts and literature published online, etc. Seems little or no action was taken. They have started a new method of recruiting unsuspecting trades, by holding meetings at prominent hotels with the offer of contract tendering works..Adise you go along and enjoy the canapees then decline to accept their contract. Each individual scam has a different spokes person, but having checked out their various addressess have found then to be false, or at best a shared office rented for short term purposes. I let them call me everyday for two weeks to gather more information for trading standards and then left it in their hands. I told NUS that I had insufficient cashflow and other problems, and maybe they could contact me later...couple of month goes by and then G3 tried similar tactics, only this time it was one of the guys from NUS that was speaking to me... Both times they were based in scotland. Most recent communication was from female with northern accent offering me another free lunch in southsea...could be tempted as no work on at the mo...lol

Dont rise to the bait.. just dont accept any off from cold calling. These publishing scams have been rife over the last 10 years, proporting to be from Police, ambulance and other charities. All you will get are a couple of calenders with shoddy art work if you are lucky. You must be careful on the phone, as recorded conversation SUPPOSEDLY FOR TRAINING PURPOSES ARE PURELY TO SECURE CONTRACT INFORMATION. Most appear to come from Northampton for some reason..

Cold callers are 100% scum and scammers.... GUARANTEED.

I''ve been SE for nearly 40 years and every single "sounds like it's worth a punt" has been a cynical gits trying to rip off the struggling.

Thank God for the net..... word gets around quicker, but cold callers are scum!

How do these people sleep at night ?

I had a call today from someone claiming to be from the local Police Community Support Dept saying that they wanted to crack down on cowboy traders, but of course they had the wrong Police Force name and rang from a mobile !

I have emailed the details, including the phone number to the (real) local police, who have emailed and rung me back as they want to follow it up !

Perhaps if we all reported them things might get a bit more difficult

I reported these people to trading standards a couple of years ago. If you call them back they will answer the phone as publishing coordination sales dept or such like. Thet actually phoned me back three years in a row, which I found amazing as I'd told them to take a hike every time they called!

looks like another scam they cannot even spell contractors correctly
