Hi, I will be going self employed shortly, funds are a tad tight with general setup costs.

I can not afford a new power flush machine. My question is would you buy a second hand power flush machine?

Also what should I be wary of when inspecting them?

Many thanks

Mackie

Hi Mackie
Do you really need to possess a pf machine, you can hire one for £50 a day.

It wouldn't be near the top of my shopping list, new or old, unless you are sure you will get to use it, is it a common job round your way?
Second hand kit is ok, but my first question to the seller is "why are you selling"? If its a car and they are selling a small car and buying a big car cause they have come into money that's a good reason to sell, but if they are selling something and buying something similar its either broken or not as good as they hoped and they are cutting their losses

Hi Mackie

What part of the country are you in?

We sometimes sell off ex-hire calmag power flushing machines. You have a couple of options - "sold as seen" which is the cheapest way, or for a bit extra we pay Calmag to put a full 12 months manufacturers warranty on them.

To be honest though, unless you are using it every couple of weeks, why not just hire one locally?

Personally I wouldn't buy a secondhand one you could come unstuck. I got a CF90 Kamco great piece of kit (its a pump with a reverse that sits in a bucket) ive used it 3-4 times if i'm lucky this year, it all depends on the demand you have around you area. but it would be one of the last things on my list. if you do buy one try and get a magnaclease also it cuts the time a lot. esp if you turn the boiler one with it chemicals work so much better
