Secondary return on 2 unvented cylinders

View the thread, titled "Secondary return on 2 unvented cylinders" which is posted in UK Plumbers Forums on UK Plumbers Forums.

Im just in the process of installing 2 300 litre unvented cylinders in a large job am a bit unsure about the secondary return. Do I tee out the pump to both returns or just one ?

just to double check you have got a bronze pump??? and all depends on how many secondary returns you want

Yes understand about the valves and pump and the rest of it but because i have 2 cylinders what happens to the other hot water return inlet ? only have 1 pump. do i just use one of the returns and cap other off ??

yes you can cap it or you can run to loops one for each cylinder with its own pump upto you

if you want to get fancy, danfoss do thermostatic balancing valves for secondary circuits, that throttle the flow when the retun gets up to temp. (MTCV)

The throttle valves are for each circuit for balancing purposes, i would use both secondary tappings on the cylinder and use a single check valve on each one.
