Hi Folks,

Just had a call from a customer. When they have a shower the cold water tank overflows. Shower is a basic bath mixer fed by CWSC and hot from a combi.

Seems to be too much hot pressure forcing back through the cold. Would it be best to sort with a pressure reducing valve on the hot before the tap or a check valve on the cold?

Thanks for advice,
Pete

be best to remove the tank and join the main to the down service preferably at low level rather than in the loft one of the benifits of a combi is a dry loft reducing chances of freezing /leakage

Cheers Steve, I'll check what else the CWSC feeds. Cistern is in the loft but bathroom is on the ground floor. Will probably also feed the toilet and basin.
