hello all, just installed a shower pump, all 22mm feed hot and cold, no flux used all compression fittings as instructed, worked great for me, power is at fused spur, nothing has tripped out, owner called 1/2 hour ago, says turned on shower worked for about 30 secs started to splutter then stopped, anyone have any ideas before i go and have a look in the morning.

Could be air drawn into feed(s) to pump, which could stop the motor (the flow switch cuts out as air passes through - or worse, the motor seizes up due to lack of water lubrication - less likely).

Is the pump connected to the water supplies in the recommended ways (to avoid air being drawn in)? Are the hoses taking water into the pump secure? Is there plenty of water in the supply cistern(s)?

all installed as per manufacturers instructions, however let me run this by you, this property i am refurbing consists of en-suite and bathroom, finished en-suite this morning, checked everything was working All ok. Moved into the bathroom, striped out all utilities which involved turning off hot and cold feed, when leaving this afternoon just pulling away remembered not turned on water, ha ha, im thinking that when i turned water back on may be should have purged shower pump. What do you think????????
