Shower pump turning on and off. Please help!

Hello all, I've just registered and I am looking for some help with my shower pump.

I have installed a Salamander whole hose pump, which works fine except for when a tap is turned on and off quickly, which causes the pump to do the same (on/off/on/off....) for 20-30 seconds or so until it shuts off. The pump is brand new btw.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

fit Non return valves to the tap/s that is causing the issue

Make sure you put the the correct way round

Thanks for the reply. It's all of the taps, so can I Just put some non return valves on the outlets of the pump?

well recommend preactise is to put it on the inlets to the product so i would check the manufacturer is okay with it first unless your not fussed about warranty

Right no check valves needed. I hadn't installed the new sink yet in the bathroom (having still left the pipes with the old taps connected) and there was basically a bit of air in both of the pipes. Ran both taps for a few seconds and problem gone!
