Hi

We live in a bungalow and about four years ago we built a kitchen extension. As the water pressure to the kitchen hot water supply was low I fitted a single impeller pump. I teed into the same pipe run and took a feed to the shower mixer valve.
My problem is when the shower is turned on the pump doesn't kick in unless the hot water tap in the kitchen is turned on. The tap can be turned back off or left on with no immediate difference.
The pump is a techflow TP60 which we are more than happy with.

I would appreciate any advice or suggestions to solve my problem. 😕

Cheers

Hi

Thanks for the quick reply guys.
I fitted a warix flange into the hot water tank and coupled the pump up at the base of the tank.
I've tried the shower head hanging down in the shower with no effect.

Hi,
Thanks Puddle for your suggestion ,I uncoupled the shower hose and turned on the shower but unfortunately the pump didn't kick in. Im wondering if I raised the pump higher, putting more head of water onto the feed pipe to the mixer valve, that may operate the switch in the pump when the shower is turned on.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
cheers
