was in a house last week and they had a shower pump fitted for ensuite ,the pump is located on the floor in airing cupboard at the side of the cylinder.when you turn hot on to bath in family bathroom the pump kicks in for about 2sec ,although pipe work is totally seperate thinking it might need a non-return valve fitting in feed to pump ?
all advice welcome

Thanks for the replies ,i only went to look at the electrical side of the pump which was ok ,and i suggested it might need a non-return valve fitting as the pump might be sencing some movement in the flow of hot from the cylinder as all the hot pipes are tee,d into the same pipe that comes off the top of the hot water tank. And thought it might have to fit into the hot pipe that fed the pump for the ensuit shower.
