Shower replace cartridge cold hot does not work

Moen Posi Temp1222A cartridge replacement. I replaced my old cartridge with a new one. I one with the handle goes from cold to hot. Now it goes from warm to hot. I reversed the cartridge and get warm to cold. I don’r what else to do so it can get cold to hot again. I tried at least 2 brand new cartridges. Any help is much appreciated.

Are you putting the shaft in the correct position before reassembling the stop mechanism and control knob?
