Siemens RCR10/433 RDH10RF heating problems

Hoping someone can help me, I currently have the reciever talking to thermostat however when the room temp falls the boiler doesn't kick in. I can hear the reciever click and flash orange but nothing happens with the boiler. My boiler is a Main Combi Eco. Also have the old timer ring so u can manually set heating to come on and off.

Please help, if anyone needs more info please ask!

Have you replaced the battery's and hot water works ok ?

Yeah replaced batteries in thermostat, hot water works fine.

room temp is 18.5° and thermostat set at 20° but heating not coming on. Which setting should the boiler be on? i.e off, timer or the constant setting. As the boiler had the old style timer on it

Turn the timer on ie constant and turn stat up a bit more does it come on

Tried that, the heating comes on but when room reaches temp the heating stays on but don't switch off

Think that stat has an accuracy of +/- 5 dc

Turning the stat down now does it turn if off ?

No the stat is now at 10° but heating is still on I heard the reciever click when stat was turned down but didn't do anything to boiler

Faulty receiver or stat, time to call a heating eng out to replace them
