hi, my 1st post on this forum - my question is

i have been to look at a sime super 90mk 2 and the initial problem i was told was the PRV (pressure relief valve) is constantly dripping , so i replaced the valve and the dripping stopped. But - now the pressure is rising from 1 bar to 3 bar over the space of a few hours and releasing through the prv, i took the filling loop off and blanked both ends and pressure still built up, the pressure builds when there is no demand for heating or hot water. although once you isolate the cold mains going into the boiler the guage does not rise. im thinking its maybe the heat exchanger but would like some other ideas and maybe help on if you've had this problem before and know the remedy. cheers kev

I would look to the plate heat exchanger being split, not an uncommon fault on the sime

would definetly agree with above comment. heat exchanger naffed

good luck
shaun
