Hi, if i install a downstairs toilet, connect soil pipe to existing waste ( 3m away), do I need a soil stack to vent new toilet waste, or something else?

Might need an air admittance valve and stub stack, depending on what your neighbours have got on there's and if your connected to same drains, Somewhere there has to be a vent.

An A.A.V should be sufficient above the highest spill level of your appliances fitted in the room.
