Stainless steel cylinders.

View the thread, titled "Stainless steel cylinders." which is posted in UK Plumbers Forums on UK Plumbers Forums.

I have seen stainless steal hot water cylinders for sale and they are cheaper than copper cylinders. Does anybody know if they are better, worse or about the same as a copper cylinder.

Gledhill ones?

There nice to install, very light, the top of the cylinder is flat and the immersion goes straight doen so no chance of hitting the coil, there is already a shower take off/ secondary return built in to some models

Only time will tell what there like in the future leaks, scale replacing etc

It is just the same as any other cylinder. Fit and forget.

I wouldn't be likeing (liking¿) them in 20 years when they are coming out.
Worthless scrap value.
Plastic pipes and stainless steel cylinders. Who'd want to be a plumber in the future.:38:
