Hi

Im looking to get some taps that are a single hot and single cold, i like the taps that you lift. Iv looked on websites like screwfix and dont know what the description would be As some are 1/4 turn and dont say if there lift or not

any ideas??

On t oolstation they're listed as 1/4 turn, on Screwfix they're listed under 'modern taps'

Your description is correct. you may also find them called ceramic disc taps.
 
i'm not aware of any single 1/4 turn taps in which you lift the handles usually they are left or right turn but i may be wrong.
 
I think you're confused by a mono lever mixer tap which you lift and 1/4 turn either left for cold or right for hot or equally mixed if lifted in the middle. I buy mine from PTS and Grahams, but I've not seen two individual taps that lift in this way. My preference is for Bristan. IMO
 
i am sure there is only a mono with this function, otherwise effectively you are only lifting a plug.
therefore creating a seal failure?.
