Welcome to the forum. Although you can post in any forum, the USA forum is here in case of local regs or laws
you dont need to join the union to get that info
i know you dont need to join to find out what the union have negotiated for your pay and conditions, i just think you should pay your £2.50 per week to allow them to get these rates for you, if you accept their negotiated rate you should pay a little back, you also get quite good insurance cover etc while a member, although as i said earlier i'm not sure how much back up you will get if required
I'm a member of Unite and have been for a quite a while now. I was just saying you can find the info if you need to. I'm in a a position now where I really dont need to be a member but I will all way pay my dues. I work for a company on the tools but I am also the company director. I dont think I will be calling in the union for disputes or wage consultation do you?
