Is it possible to fit a shower value in a studded cavity wall?

What is the min gap I need?

have a look at your manufacturers instructions

I did one last week that needed a minimum of 127mm they ended up doubling the studding so we could get the valve in

Lots will fit into a 3 x 2 wall, but quite a lot dont!
As above, pick the one you like , then check the minimum depth required on the manufacturers web site.
