O

onceceltic

My shower has developed a fault in that it will not pass any hot water.

Ihave performed the following tests to try and enable you to identify the fault.

1) Isolated the cold water feed to the shower andthen turned the combi boiler off. This then results in water (cold because the boileris off) flowing through the shower fine.
2) Turned the boiler back on, which results inwater flowing through the shower for about 30 seconds before completely stopping,no flow through the shower, however all other outlets in the house produce hot water.
3) Turn the cold water feed back on to the showerand the result is that the shower has water flow however it is stone cold.

Could you please dvise, what could be the problem, as it is a concealed unit, all plumbing is in the wall and the tiling is quite specific to the unit, so I am keen to Fix the existing unit rather that replace with a different one.

Thanks

It's probably a blockage in the filter on the hot water feed to the valve. You need to check this first by taking out the cartridge to get access to the filter.
