Toilet leaking from pipe!! Help...

I had a new bathroom fitted 6 weeks ago, with an ideal standard back to the wall toilet and concealed cistern. After a few days water started appearing from behind the pan, water was dripping from the pipe that feeds water into the toilet at the join. It had been fitted using the rubber bung supplied with the cistern. Plumber came back, took it all apart and fitted a new rubber bung using silicon aswell to get a tight seal, flushed it numerous times to test it, it has been fine for 6 weeks, now we're back to square one, leaking again. Any tips?

Get the plumber back in and it needs re-doing, if it were me. I would put in a whole new inlet valve. It does seem like a pain in the backside, if the plumber can't get to you immediately he should have put in an isolation valve (probably silver with a screw in it) turn it off.😀

He's been back this morning. After inspecting it he has reached the conclusion that because the cistern is only held on to the inside of the vanity unit by two bolts (as per instructions with units) it is not secure enough and the weight of the water is causing it to lean forward slightly, therefore moving the pipe slightly every time we flush and working it loose! He is coming back Monday to build the back of the unit up enough to be able to screw into the wall behind the cistern. With another new valve he thinks it will solve the problem. Fingers crossed!

Prehaps he should have fitted it properly first time round and secured the back of the cistern to the wall as you normally do😱
