Tool list for Reactive maintenance Plumber.

Not long until I start my new job, I have the majority of tools that I think I need but as I do a lot of different types of work I carry a lot of stuff that I won't be needing.

I'm going to get a new tool bag and get my hand tools sorted.

Grips
wire cutters
Long nose pliers - After an extra long set too but can't find any decent ones, recommendations?
Screwdrivers
Olive cutters
Pump spanner
Nail bar
Hammer
Chisel
Pipe cutters
Boat level

What else shall I carry?, that's not all i have by the way just going off what I've been using today.

Ash heads up mate, if they equip the same way bg do you'll receive a ladder, vac, lead light, multimeter etc if not I've found some cheap deals on fluke 116. I say cheap it's still over a ton but cheapest I can find a guaranteed genuine.

I'll also list my tool kit once I'm out of the shower and the sprogs are in bed.

+1 in the 116 its a great multi meter even has milly volts

I have some of that stuff but leaves me plenty to get too. I finish my current job next Tuesday and having the rest of the week off to sort my tools and admin myself, can start my new job fully prepared and make sure i have everything.

the trick with reactive maintainence is a smalll kit for first look and then a bucket to get what you need from the van half the jobs youll do with the small kit they probably want 10 jobs a day so most of the time its in make safe and order mats most companies now dont like you having any stock on the van

dust sheets and I also use rubber covered sheets to protect worktops etc, stubby screwdrivers, I'd be lost without my impact driver, to allow quick removal of cupboards and shelves hiding the boiler (cost extra to put them back 🙂 )

It will be interesting to see how they work. The first 4-6 weeks will be a nightmare i'm sure until i get in to the swing of things and get a system going. One of the girls in the office said minimum 8 jobs a day, the first week or so I might struggle to achieve that but then once I find my feet I should be ok.

Yup, you can do anything if your flooding the customers roof space and havent got a key to turn that bleeding valve off in the road, hence why i have one of each 🙂
