Had A bit of enamel from an old metal kitchen sink stuck in my eye a few years back that was painful but not as painful as your injury I suspect......hope it heals real quick for you Rob....regards Turnpin:furious3:

bloody hell rob your one very lucky lad,i have detached my retinas twice, once through being a typical teen, the other through slipping with a knipex but that could have been far more serious what you done get some eye shields asap

It was agony! Still managed to finish the cylinder fill it and wire the immersions before getting myself to hospital.... Now that's dedication

could have been a lot worse had it of been a bigger bit of solder very lucky indeed. No amount of eyewash was moving it either and trying not to panic. Will be re assessing that work method me thinks

I got a bit of tile in my eye the other week, my fault and luckily it washed out. Tret myself to a new set of safety glasses.

My tip of the day would be - don't park you van in the ditch!!

at least the new one I need to get next week will be tidy! for a while any way!!

My old apprentice stuck finger into a massive lump of pink foam it burst all over his face and eyes. He didn't like being sprayed in the eyes with acetone, but he can still see. I started to wear saftey specs at work now. Eyes worth too much. Couldn't stand not to beable to perv on women!

Had some brick dust blow back out of a hole in my face.
The little chunk cut into the inside of my eyelid scratching the crap outa my eye

Went and grabbed these laavly glasses, no gaps to go around either as they have a foam type material all the way around.

The bolle ones are excellent. If you use head band they rated for sthil saw and grinder. We made them standard issue on a carillon job. Inspector went off on one with lad, yellow card till I pointed out we were actually being pro active as no one ever put goggles on as specs were ok
