About 6 weeks ago I got a call 'my towel rail is leaking'. Off I went, jumped out the van and grabbed a couple of spanners thinking quick nip up and away I'll be. Gets in to find the towel rail has rotted through. Drains it down, and had to cap trv as it was passing.
Went back today, new towel rail and new trv. Gets the towel rail hung and connected to lockshield. Into boiler room and dump pressure, bit of paste on new valve and ready to swap. Takes the cap off and attach a flexi into a bowl to drain off the last bit of water. 3 buckets later and still the same pressure, I thought somebody's having a laugh. Asks cust where cylinder is. Megaflow in the loft with secondary return. Turns cold feed off and back down to valve.
Hey presto, no pressure. Gave the cust bad news. Now have to fit 5 stainless steel towel rails 🙂
