Hey,

I'm 17 years old and currently doing my basic plumbing certificate after this i will need and apprenticeship which i have all ready arranged. My question is can you tell me how much a self-employed plumber expects to earn each year and how much you can earn a year with? with nvq2 and nvq3.

Thanks. Jamie

Qualification won`t earn you a penny, You have to able to do the work after gaining experience then you can be thinking about money

I know. I just want to know what a plumber realistically earns in a year and how much potentially a plumber could earn in a year.

I depends where you are based and what sort of work you do but 30k should be a decent average

depends how much you want it

If your prepared so start off posting leaflets your selve and advertising in the right palces and doing a good job you will raise your profile and custoemr based

No offence but if you go into self employment at a young age you will probably find you are discriminated against due to your age regardless of your skill level

You are going down the right track with an aprenticeship well done.
You will earn 25k ish per year working for somone with NVQ3, if your any good.
At 17 the only thing you should be worried about is not getting chylamidia.
